Don Lucas silver bead necklaces come in a variety of lengths and bead sizes. Silver bead necklaces were first worn by the Navajo and Pueblo Indians more than 140 years ago. They are truly one of the original southwestern jewelry designs. Our silver beads are not your light weight, commercial grade silver beads that you see everywhere. All of the sterling silver beads used in these necklaces are much heavier than the commercial varieties and they are all 100% hand made. All of the beads we use in these necklaces are oxidized and then brushed to give them the old southwestern jewelry patina that makes them so distinct. The silver bead necklaces are strung on stainless steel beading chain, which is the most durable and flexible product available for this type of necklace. Each necklace comes with a small signature tag at the clasp. To learn how silver beads are made, check out our making silver beads video.
